Gas struts pressure loss due to cold weather
Cold weather causes the nitrogen gas to contract in the strut and will make it softer to use. This is normally in the mornings when things are cold.
Typically, this may have a 10-20% temporary reduction in force.
Winter is always a time when older gas struts will be less efficient.
This should come right as the temperature increases throughout the day. If the issue doesn't come right as the temperature increases, the struts may be faulty and require replacing.
